Here we have the results of the November 2014 contest.
The HSC would like to congratulate the winners of the categories:
- HSC members: DL8JJ
- Non members: DK2FG
- QRP: OZ/DJ9EG
- SWL: SP4-208
The winner of both contests, February and November is DK2FG. He therefore has been awarded the
HSC Contest Champion of the Year 2014. We'd like to congratulate all winners and thank
you for your participation! The results in detail are ready for download in the
Contests section.
Sadly we have to report that HSC 1684, OM Egon, DF6UD has become a silent key.

Sadly two members of our club became silent key:
- HSC 82 OM Joachim DL1TQ passed away July at the age of 92 years.
- HSC 451 OM Bernhard "Ben" CT3AS (and DL3BK) died October aged 71 years.

Here are the lastest news:
- The HSC will be at the INTERRADIO ham
fair in Hannover, Germany on Saturday November 8th 2014.
- Martin, OK1RR (731) told us that our member Jan, OK1NR, HSC 407 sadly had become
a silent key.
- The Lord Howe 2014 DXpedition goes October 13th 2014
on the air. They use the callsign VK9DLX. A couple of HSC members joined the team: DF7TH (1420),
DL3DXX (1469), DL5CW (1240), DL6FBL (1056) und VK2IA (888). Enjoy the time and make a lot of QSOs!

OM Peter I2CZQ (1395) advised us about silent keys from Italy:
HSC 119, Giancarlo "Chas" IØXXR and HSC 656, OM Piero, IT9ZGY have recently passed away.
HSC 1862, OM Mario, IK1RED became a silent key already years ago.

OM Mike, ex-W3MC, HSC 1849 advised us that the new callsign WØVTT has been issued to him.

Here we have two callsign updates:
- OM Horst, DL1MGG (602) currently lives in Thailand and therefore holds the call HSØZFK.
- OM Rife, ex-YU4CW (1473) has moved to Zagreb. His current callsign is 9A9CW

The HSC would like to congratulate OM Karl-Heinz, DL1VU (415) who celebrates his 92nd birthday today.
We have to inform you that our member Klaus, DJ4SO (345) passed away April 13th this year.

After a period of inactivity HSC 1612, Yury, EU1KY is back on the air. His former callsigns
EU3EU and UC2LEG are no longer valid.
OM Per, OZ1EQC (959) told us, that he uses the second callsign OV2V on 2m local.

The HSC contest from February 23rd, 2014 has been evaluated. Here we have the results. We would like to
congratulate the winners of the sections:

We would like to invite all members to the Annual HSC Meeting 2014 held during the
CW Meeting at Erbenhausen,
Germany (link only in German language). The HSC Meeting is on April 12th, 2014, 10:00 local time.

- OM Ed, HA5BWW (1726) let us know that he uses the callsign HA5W in contests.
- OM Hardy, DL1VDL (776) is using callsign DLØDA during contests.
- Sadly we have to report that OM Tillo, ON5KD (745) has become a silent key already several years ago.

We would like to congratulate OM Axel, EI8JX for working the WHSC 100 Award no. 396.
The HSC mournes the loss of two members:
- OM Anti, HA3OV (1236) died due to a car accident aged 47.
- OM Rade, YU7FN (1029) two weeks ago.

The most recent news:
- We'd like to welcome OM Marcus, DL7GEM as a new member. Marcus signes HSC 1930. Welcome to the club!
- OM Jürgen, ex-DL2ZAE (HSC 1089) has changed his callsign to DK9FE.
- Also OM Goran, ex-YU5GM (HSC 1835) is now QRV using the new call YU5M.
- The HSC Marathon 2013 has been evaluated. The HSC congratulates OM Joe, DL4CF for winning the 2013 marathon.
