Some DX news for you:
December 3rd, 2006
Baldur, DJ6SI (336) will be QRV as TN6X from Congo on CW until early December. Activity is on 160 to 10 meters QSL to home call.


November 14th, 2006
Klaus, DJ4SO (345), will be active from Namibia as V51/DJ4SO between now and December 1st. Activity will be on 160-6 meters. There will be an emphasis on the low bands. Klaus will also be in the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 25-26th). QSL via DJ4SO, direct or by the bureau.

A group of German operators will be active from Elbow Cay which belongs to Cay Sal Bank Cays Group in the Bahama Islands early in 2007. The callsign will be announced later. René, DL2JRM (1804) is a member of the team. They will leave Key Largo, Florida, around the 3rd of January and plans to be active until January 9th. The date can vary because of the weather. Due to the high costs (7000 US$ just for the transportation) any donations are welcome. The QSL Manager is DL3OCH. October 21st, 2006
Arno, DL1CW (1714) ist QRV from Peru (Puerto Maldonado, Cuzco and Lake Titicaca) until October 30th as OA7/DL1CW. QSL to home call sign.

Patrick, F6IRF (1196), will be active as CN2WW from Morocco between November 22-29th. His activity will include the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 25-26th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m) entry. QSL via EA7FTR.


October 12th, 2006
HSC Operators DL5XX (1121) and DL3HAH (1195) and others will be active as CT9L from Madeira Islands during the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 25-26th) as Multi/2 entry. QSL via DJ6QT.

John, K4BAI (1671) and others will be QRV from the Netherland Antilles as PJ4A during the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 25-26th) as a Multi-Single/High-Power entry. Before and after the contest, they will use PJ4/homecalls between November 21-28th. All QSLs go via K4BAI.

July 25th, 2006
Tom, DL2RMC (1411) will be active from the Faroe Islands as OY/DL2RMC from August 21st to 23rd. QSL via DL2RMC, bureau preferred.

Gabi, HA1YA (728) will be active from Thasos Island as J48YA, between August 5-19th. Activity will be on HF, 50 MHz and 144 MHz. Call sign for 50 MHz will be SV8/HA1YA.


July 11th, 2006
After some years of silence, an international team will activate Libya between November 14-28th. The callsign will be 5A7A. Activity will be on all bands. The international team operators include some HSC members DJ7IK (334), DL5EBE (1356), DJ9CB (504), DL5CW (1240), DK1II (886), DJ2VO (237), DK7PE (1141). The preferred CW frequencies mentioned are 1827, 3507, 7017, 10107, 14007, 18077, 21027, 24893 and 28027 kHz. For updates and more info, please see the following web page at http://5a7a.gmxhome.de.

Chris, DL4FO (1841), will be active as OZ/DL4FO from Tuno Island between July 22nd and August 5th. Activity will be on all HF bands. QSL via DL4FO. Visit his web page at http://www.qslnet.de/dl4fo.

A group of four Italian operators including HSC member I2AZ (1829) is currently active from Albania, ZA until July 17th. Activity will be on all bands HF and VHF. They also plan to activate lighthouses, WW Loc.'s and be in the upcoming contests for HF/VHF (IARU HF World, Six Club Contest and CQ World-Wide VHF Contest). All plan to sign ZA*/homecall. QSL via their home call signs.


July 1st, 2006
Look for Tony, G4UZN (1275), to be active from Thailand for three weeks starting on June 23rd. He hopes that the WARC bands should be available by then and expects to be on the air as HSØZGH as time permits. QSL via home call.

Also look for Jacky, ZL3CW (1105), to be active from Raoul Island (OC-039) starting around June 27-28th. He plans to be there for about one week as ZM8CW. Activity will be limited to his spare time. He will concentrate on the lower bands. QSL via ZL1AMO.


June 9th, 2006
Juergen, DJ2VO (237), has become member of a team to be QRV from the Azores during the IOTA Contest July 29 to 30th as CU8T and as a Multi-Single entry. Outside of the contest July 29th to August 8th, the group will be active as CU8F from Farol do Albarnaz Lighthouse. Both QSLs via CT1GFK (the bureau is ok).

Dov, 4Z4DX (1680), will be active as SV5/MØDOV and J45DOV from Rhodos Islands, July 15-20th. QSL via 4Z4DX.


May 9th, 2006
Juergen, DJ2VO (237), will be active from Miquelon until May 20th. His callsign was not provided. Activity will be on 80-10 meters with 100 watts into a vertical antenna. This activity will also count for the Ile Grande Miquelon Lighthouse (WLOTA LH-1417). QSL via home call.

Patrick, F6IRF (1196), will be active as CN2WW from Morocco from Hassan's, CN8SG, station in Kenitra, between May 20-29th. He also plans to be active in the CQ WPX CW Contest (May 27-28th) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL via EA7FTR or the LoTW. See the wep page at http://cn2ww.blogspot.com/

An international team of operators including some HSC members are planning to put together a November 2006 Libya DXpedition. Activity will be on all bands. They will use the callsign 5A7A. Their plan is to be active from November 14-28th. The HSC members of the group are Andy, DJ7IK (334), Dominik DL5EBE (1356), Gunter DJ9CB (504), Franz, DK1II (886), and Juergen DJ2VO (237). New DX activities by our members:
February 17th, 2006
HSC member Dietmar, DL3DXX (1469) and others are planning a DXpedition to Vanuatu, YJ. They will leave Germany on February 22nd, 2006, and will arrive in Port Vila on February 24th. The team expects to possibly be on the air the same day. Their activity will have an emphasis on the low bands 160/80/40 meters. An online log search will be available. The team plans to QRT on March 11th. A web site has been established by Bernd, DF3CB (931).

Here we have some fresh DX-News concerning our members for you:
PACIFIC 2006 DXPEDITION TOUR. Members of the Central German Contest Group will be heading to the Pacific between January 14th and March 3rd, and plan to activate several different islands. HSC OP Erik, DL9AWI, (1564) is one of the Operators mentioned. Their planned scheduled is: Callsigns will be announced later, but they will be active as ZL/homecall/m from New Zealand.
