November 22nd, 2005
HSC members are really fine DXers:
- Alex, DK8FD (1272) will be QRV as HKØ/DK8FD from San Andres Island (IOTA NA-033), from now
until December 2nd. He will be active in the upcoming CQ WW contest, with casual operating before and after the contest.

- Mike, DL1HCM (1517), will be active as V31TM from Belize from now until November 30th. His activity
will include the CQWW DX CW Contest as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. Visit his web site at

- OM Andy, DL5CW (1240) will be active as J79CW from Dominica until December 5th. QSL via

- Stefan, DL5XX (1121), will be active as HI9T from the Dominican Republic during the CQ WW DX CW
Contest possibly as a Single-OP/Single-Band or All-Band entry. QSL via KU9C.
- Patrick, F6IRF (1196), will fly to Morocco on November 23rd and plans to be active as CN2PD. Look
for him to be in the CQ WW CW DX Contest (November 26-27th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m) entry. QSL via EA7FTR. Visit

- Tony, G4UZN (1275), will be in Bangkok, Thailand, as HSØZGH from November 23rd to
December 7th. He is expected to participate in the CQWW DX CW Contest.
- Remember to look for Bernd, VK2IA (888), to be active starting around November 22nd as VK9AA from
Cocos-Keeling Island. He will also participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) as a Single-Op/
All-Band entry. QSL via DL8YR.
- Operator Martti, OH2BH (445) and others, plan to be QRV as OJØB and OJØJ beginning
November 22 for one week from Market Reef Island. Activity will be on 160 through 10 meters, including the newer
bands On 160 meters, watch for activity on 1812.5 kHz and 1834.5 kHz for CW. They also plan to participate in the upcoming
CQ WW contest. QSL OJØB via OH2BH.
October 31st, 2005
The most recent DX news:
- Operators Jeff, KU8E and John, K4BAI (1671) will be active from Bonaire (Netherland Antilles)
as PJ4R in the ARRL DX CW Contest (February 18-19th, 2006) as a Multi-Single. QSL via K4BAI.
- Ben, OZ5AAH (1660), will visit Latvia during the IPARC Contest (November 5-6th, 2005)
and be active as YL/OZ5IPA. QSL direct to his home callsign.
October 5th, 2005
Hadi, DJ2PJ (258), will be QRV as OHØJWH from Eckeroe (Aland Islands), IOTA EU-002, until October 7th.
Activity will be on 160 to 30 meters. QSL to home call.
September 22nd, 2005
Now take a look at this:
- Dov, 4Z4DX (1680), is planning to go back to Akhziv Island between October 19th to 21st. His call sign
will be 4Z4DX/p.
- Klaus, DJ4SO (345) will be QRV as V51/DJ4SO from Namibia from September 18th to October 12th.

Here are some fresh DX news:
- Chris, A45XR (729) is usually QRV on 160 meters from around 2330 to 0100z. QSL via operator's instructions.
- Markos SV1MF (1851), and others will activate Lighthouse Apolytares for the first time ever on
Antikythira Island, August 20-22nd. Their callsign will be SX8L.
July 22nd, 2005
The most recent DX news:
- Look for Dov, 4Z4DX (1680), to be active as 4Z4DX/LH from the Jaffa Lighthouse (ARLHS ISR-005),
August 20-21st. Activity will be on all bands. QSL via his home call sign or eQSL. Logs will be uploaded to LoTW.
- René, DL2JRM (1804), will be active as OZ/DL2JRM/P from Lolland Island, July 29th to August,
1st. Look for René to be active during the RSGB IOTA Contest on 80-10 meters QRP CW, with a FT-817, Windom and GP
antennas, all solar powered. QSL via his home call sign, direct or by the bureau.
- A group of operators including HSC member F6IRF (1196) are planning a small DXpedition to Ankudinov Island
in the Black Sea between July 28th and August 1st. They plan to enter the IOTA Contest using the callsign EM5F.

May 19th, 2005
Operators Diethelm, DJ2YE, and Wolfgang, DK3KD (743) will be active as HBØ/HB9AON during the CQ WW WPX CW Contest
(May 28-29th) as a Multi-2 entry. QSL via eQSL or direct.
April 15th, 2005
DXnews are never ending:
- Arno, DL1CW (1714) informed us, that he will be QRV from Turkey as TA4/DL1CW from April 24th to
30th. Activity is on 80 to 10 meters using IC-706 with 100 watts.
- Jo, DJ5AA (588)will be vacationing on Rhodos Island, SV5, from May 2nd to 16th. The callsigns and
bands/modes of activity were not provided. QSL via operator's instructions.
- Hardy, DL3KWF (489), and his wife will be active from Crete, SV9 starting April 16th unitl 30th. WARC
band are preferred. QSL via home call signs.
April 8th, 2005
Ed, HA5BWW (1726), and group of HA operators will be active from Liechtenstein as HBØ/homecall,
May 14th to 20th. Activity will be on 160-10 meters, including the WARC bands. QSL via their home call signs (via bureau).
March 7th, 2005
Here we have some DX News for you:
- Berthold, DF5WA (1675) will be QRV from Martinique together with DF7GB starting April 8th for 14 days. Activity will be on all HF bands, 160 Meter depends on local antenna space. QSL via home calls.
- Joeke, PAØVDV (1168), is now active as PJ2/PAØVDV from Signal Hill, Curaçao (SA-006), until
March 23rd. His activity has been mainly on the WARC bands CW, with some operations on 15 meters. QSL via home call.
- Frank, DL8WAA (1391) and others are going to be QRV as CU2M from San Miguel until March 21st.
February 27th, 2005
Rudi, DK7PE (1141) and other are QRV from Trinidade & Tobago between February 23rd and March 2nd.
The call sign is 9Y4DLH. Activity is on all HF bands. QSL via DJ3FK. See their web site at

HSC member Joeke, PAØVDV (1168) plans to work once again as PJ2/PAØVDV from Curaçao
February 26th to March 23rd. QSL via home call.
January 17th, 2005
HSC members Gyuri, HA5JI (709), Lali, VE3NE (1215), and others will be active from Madeira, CT9,
between January 22nd and February 3rd. They will be an entry in the CQWW 160m CW Contest as CT9M.
3YØX, the third ever DXpedition to Peter Island, will be brought on the air by a multi-national team
of 21 operators including HSC member Martti, OH2BH (445). The voyage will start on January 14th, 2005 and will take 6 to
7 days. The exact landing date will depend on weather. They plan to operate for two full weeks with nine stations 24 hours a

There will be at least a two and one-half to three-week delay in the planned
DXpedition. Problems have arisen with completing the renovation and re-registration of the ship on schedule.
