René, DL2JRM (1804) is still QRV as YA7X from Afghanistan until January 5, 2005. Activity is on all HF

Here we have the most recent Dx news:
- Juergen, DJ2VO (237) is QRV as VP8/DJ2VO from the Falkland Islands until December, 10tht.
- Baldur, DJ6SI (336) is QRV as TN6X from December 4th to 12th from Congo. QSL to home call.
- Henryk, SMØJHF (423), is QRV as C56JHF from Gambia. QSL via operator's instructions.
November 24th, 2004
Fresh dx news came in:
- Martti, OH2BH (445) and others will be QRV as S9BB from São Tome and Principe beginning November,
20th for two weeks. Activity will be on 160 to 10 meters, including WARC. They will participate in the upcoming CQ WW
contest as S9RR. QSL via OH2TA.
- Zoli, HA1AG (1512) and others will be active as HC8N from the Galápagos Islands in the CQ WW
DX CW Contest (November 27-28th) as a Multi-2 entry. QSL via W5UE.
- Baldur, DJ6SI (336)is QRV from Somalia as 6OØX November 26th. Activity is on 160 to
10 meters on the traditional DX calling frequencies. QSL via DJ6SI.

Never ending DX news:
- Vlady, RU3HD (1666) is QRV from the Saam Novolazarevskaya base at the Antarctica for about four months as R1ANN
and RU3HD/ANT. Activity will be on all HF bands. QSL via RZ3DJ.
- Felix, DL5XL (1572), will be active as V51/DL5XL from Namibia in the CQ WW DX CW Contest. He will also be active

Here we have a lot of fresh DX news for you. Take a look:
- A group around Joe, DF7TH (1420) is expected to be active from Lebanon, OD, during the
CQ WW DX CW Contest November 27 to 28th possibly as a Multi-Single or a Multi-2 entry. Callsign has not yet been
confirmed at the moment. QSL via DJ5CL.
- Andy, DJ7IK (334), will be on holiday on the Kerkennah Islands (Tunisia, 3V8). His activity will take place
during the CQ WW DX CW Contest November 27 to 28th. He will sign 3V8SF/p and be active in the contest as a Single-Op/
Single-Band (20m)/Low-Power entry. QSL via DJ7IK.
- René, DL2JRM (1804) is active again as YA7X from Afghanistan until November, 17th. He operates
on 160 to 10 metres. QSL via DL1JJI.
- Andy, DL5CW (1240) will operate on CW as PJ2/DL5CW from Curaçao on November 1st to 15th.

- Bavarian Contest Club members around Ben, DL6RAI
(1133) will operate from Nepal either as 9N7BCC (requested call) and with individual callsigns from November,
16th to December, 5tht, CQ WW DX CW included. They will have three stations operating from 160 to 15 metres and plan to
concentrate on the low and the WARC bands outside the contest. QSL 9N7BCC via DK7YY; the QSL routes for individual calls will
be announced in due course.
- Bernd, VK2IA (888) will be active from Cocos Keeling Island as VK9AA in the CQWW DX CW Contest as a
Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL via DL8YR.

Gerd, DJ4KW (273) will be QRV as V31YN from Belize starting January 9th to March 1st, 2005. Main activity

October 8th, 2004
- Willi, DJ7RJ and Klaus, DJ4SO (345) are now operating as S79RJ and S79SO from the Seychelles until October 22nd. QSL via their home calls.
- Reiner, DL7KL (1731) and others are now operating as TJ3SP and TJ3FR from Cameroon until October 20th. They have four stations with three linear amplifiers and a variety of antennas. September 13th, 2004
- HSC member Dieter, DJ9ON (652) will take part as an operator at the DXpedition to the Chesterfiled Islands,
TXØ. The group will leave Germany on October 8th and expect to be QRV on the 15th or the 16th for eight days. The
call sign will not be made public before the operation starts. QSL via DL4XS (for CW QSOs only and 6 metres), direct or bureau.

- 3YØX, the third ever DXpedition to Peter Island, will be brought on the air by a multi-national team
of 21 operators including HSC member Martti, OH2BH (445). The voyage will start on January 14th, 2005 and will take 6 to 7 days.
The exact landing date will depend on weather. They plan to operate for two full weeks with nine stations 24 hours a day. See

August 30th, 2004
- Willi, DJ7RJ, and Klaus, DJ4SO (345) will be on the air from Seychelles beginning October 3th, for 2 or 3 weeks.
They will be operating as S79RJ (DJ7RJ) and S79SO (DJ4SO) on 40-6 meters. Use of the 80 meter band has not been
authorized, but they will be requesting permission to operate on 80 meters during the weekends (3505 kHz ±). QSL via their home

- Tom, DL2RMC (1411)and Heiko, DL1RTL will operate on 160-6 metres as OY/homecalls from the Faroe Islands from 30

- Ben, DL6FBL (1056), will be active as 9Y4ZC from Trinidad & Tobago during the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November

July 26th, 2004
- Franz, DK1II (886) will be QRV from Port Vila, Vanuatu (IOTA OC-035), from August 6 to 15th. He plans work
mainly on CW on 40-10 meters, depending on propagations. Franz has applied for the callsign YJØII, but this is
not confirmed yet. QSL via DK1II.
- Reiner, DL7KL (1731) and others will be active from Cameroon as TJ3SP and TJ3FR, October 6 to
20th. They plan to have 4 stations active, PAs inclusive. Activity will be on 80 to 10 meters and the WARC bands. There will

July 12th, 2004
- Dov, 4Z4DX (1680) will be active as SV8/MØDOV from Zankynthos from 24 to 28 July. He will
participate in the IOTA Contest as SZ8DX. QSLs via 4Z4DX.
- Dieter, DJ9ON (652) and others will operate on all bands from the Chesterfield Islands in October 2004.
Flight tickets and vessel are booked and the licence is in hand. The callsign will not be made public before the operation
starts.
- Tom, DL7NJ (1797) and others will be QRV from the Åland Island as OHØ/homecall from July
10 to 24. QSLs via home calls.
July 5th, 2004
Tony, IK1QBT (1767) and others will be active from Lebanon as OD5/homecall/P starting on 24 July.
They will have two stations active on all bands (160 m excluded), with at least one power amplifier and
verticals. QSL via I1HJT.

Ben, OZ5AAH (1660) will be active as SV9/OZ5IPA from Rethymnon, Crete, from 26 May to 3 June. QSL direct

- OM Juergen, DJ2VO (237) and others will be active as CT9P from the lighthouse (LH 0830, FMA01) on Ilheu de Cima
(AF-014) from July 16th to 19th. They will operate on 10 to 40 metres with two stations. QSL to Kim Larson via N3SL.
- Hardy, DL3KWF (489), and his wife will operate on all bands as SJ9WL and LG5LG from the Morokulien station
on the border between Sweden and Norway from 24 May to 2 June, CQ WPX CW Contest included. QSL via SM5DJZ.

- Conny, DL1DA (36) is QRV as VP5/DL1DA from Turks ans Caicos Islands until May 9th, 2004. Activity is on 40 to
10 meters only. QSL to home call.
- Tom, DL7NJ (1797) and others will be active as OH0/homecall, from July 10-24th. This will be more of a holiday style

- Tine, S5ØA (630) and others others will be active as A61AJ from the United Arab Emirates in the CQ WPX CW
Contest (May 29 to 30th) as a Multi-Multi entry. QSL to K2UO (US Stations) and DJ2MX (non-US).
April 5th, 2004
Both Franz, ZL2III/DK1II (886) and Dominik, DL5EBE (1356), members of the "Rhein-Ruhr DX Association" (RRDXA) and HSC have
announced, that they will be active from Chatham Island over the Easter Holidays from April 7th until April 14th. They plan to be
active on all bands using linears and kite supported verticals/delta loops for 160 and 80 meters. Their callsigns are ZL2III/7 and
ZL7/DL5EBE. However, they have applied for a special callsign which will be announced after it is granted. QSL via DL5EBE. His

March 16th, 2004
- Reminder: 3B9C is on the air from March 18th until April 14th, 2004.
- Look for V51/DL5XL (1572) and V51/DH3FBS to be QRV until mid April. QSL to home calls.
- Conny, DL1DA (36) and Abo, DK6ST are QRV as XZ1DA and XZ6ST, respectively. Of late, they have been active on 30, 20 and
17 meters. QSL to home calls.
- René, DL2JRM (1804), is QRV from Afghanistan, YA until March 19th during a business trip. Look for him on all bands from 160 to 10 metres.
- HSC member Dany, F5CW (1421) is a team member of 5V7C. The gear has been collected from each member, F6KOP, friends and
especially from some of their sponsors. Two pilot stations have been confirmed: Bruno/F5AGB for Europe and French speaking countries,
Floyd/N5FG for the Americas, an Australian and a Japanese pilot station are expected to be announced before the DXpedition. The team's
return flight is scheduled on March 13th, late in the evening (time to be confirmed,) so there will be 5V7C signals on the air up to
1200z and/or possibly later. Also see their web page at

We have some fresh DX news for you:
- Patrick, F6IRF (1196) will operate as FG/F6IRF from Guadeloupe on February 14th to 29th. This will be a casual
activity with low power and wire antennas. QSL via home call.
- Rag, LA5HE (194) will be active again as JW5HE from Svalbard from February 12th to 18th. He plans to concentrate
on the low bands. QSL via home call.
- Mirek, VK6DXI (830) reports he will be on a business trip to West Malaysia from February 8th to 14th and plans to
operate (mostly on 20 metres) as 9M8DX/2 from Kuala Lumpur. QSL via VK6DXI.
- HSC members Andy, G3AB (1555), Steve, G3VMW (1399) and others are going to Eritrea mid February 2004. They're
planning to be QRV from 160m to 6m for about two weeks including an ARRL DX CW Contest entry. Preferred CW frequencies are 1828, 3507,
7007, 10107, 14027, 18077, 21027, 24897, 28027 and 50107 kHz. QSL via buerau. Electronic QSL cards are not supported.
January 26th, 2004
Here are the most recent DX news:
- A group of the Lufthansa Amateur Radio Club will be in Sri Lanka from March 3rd to 8th. They will be operating on all bands.
If possible, Rudi DK7PE (1141) will try to operate on 160m, depending on the antennas.
- René, DL2JRM (1804) will be active as J2ØRM from Djibouti on January 22nd to 30th (maybe one week longer).
He hopes to be able to operate from Moucha Island (AF-053) during his stay. QSL via DL2JRM. See also

- Look for Steve, GØCKP (1548) to be active on all bands as PJ2/GØCKP from Curaçao (SA-006) from
January 23rd to 30th. QSL via his home call.
- George, HA5JI (709) and others are QRV from the Turks and Caicos Islands as VP5/ homecalls until January 29th.

Former HSC president and secretary Gerd, DJ4KW (273) and Gisela, DK9GG are expected to be active from V3, Belize for a
Lighthouse Activity starting January 10th through February 29th. Look for them signing V31YN. Activity will be from 160 to 10 meters.
The duo plans a side trip between February 2nd to 6th operating as V31YN/P from Lighthouse Reef (NA-123) using 40 to 10 meters. QSL
