It is with regret that we announce the decease of Renate DJ9SB, (487), after a long and serious illness in October 2009. We knew Rena as an active and excellent CW operator, she was a frequent guest on CW meetings. We appreciated her as a kind and competent member for 44 years, and 12 new members owe her a recommendation. We feel with her OM Gerd, DJ4SB.

We have made one more slight modification of the HSC Contest rules effective 2010: There is no more limitation of the frequency within an amateur band (was: 10 to 30 kHz from lower band edge). The present contest categories remain unchanged.
