Gleanings of the HAM RADIO Friedrichshafen. Alfons, DL1TL writes:
Our expectations for the Lake Constance Convention and the Ham Radio fair from 27 to 29th June at Friedrichshafen were again not disappointed. Among the many arrangements we just mention the lecture of Neville G3NUG, which offers interesting background information about the great 3B7C St. Brandon Dxpedition, in which participated two HSC members.

The way to the stand of HSC in the large hall was easy to find by following to the acoustic CW signals, so to speak sorting out the telegraphists from the passers-by. On the stand OM Toffy DJ6ZM, (889), demonstrated CW QSOs with his station in Munich, 200 kilometres away from Friedrichshafen, remote controlling bands, beam direction and power by the internet UMTS system. The excellent quality of these live-QSOs was remakable.

The visitors showed a keen interest in the possibilities entailed with it, and it was lively discussed. The internet can give a fresh impetus to Ham radio, too. Questions and suggestions please to Toffy's e-mail: dj6zm at darc.de.

This attraction brought many visitors to the HSC stand, more than 200 entries were found in the guest book from all over the world. The trophy for the winner of HSC Marathon 2007 was handed over to Joe DL4CF.
